The first place most people are going to see your house is on the internet, and their first impression is going to be the photos. Most buyers are looking at several houses in the same price range. They move from one listing to the next, looking at pictures and deciding which houses they want to see in person. In that sense, your first showings are taking place online.

One agent might tell you your house is worth more than anyone else says. Another might offer to do it for less money. For many homeowners these ideas sound like they would equate to more profit however neither answer tells you what you’re going to walk away with when the process is over.

As a realtor, I often have the freedom in my schedule to spend time on the water, and I recently revisited one of my favorite places, Tangier Island. I’ve been going there for over 10 years, and I always look forward to these trips.

For many homeowners, the pre-inspection is their favorite part. In reality, with very few exceptions, it saves the homeowner from having to do repairs before and after the house goes under contract and potentially saves them tens of thousands of dollars.
